Darren P. Jahr, 39 of Blair, died tragically in a motor vehicle accident  March 8, 2015.  Darren was a lifelong resident of the Blair area.  He was a 1994 graduate of Blair-Taylor High School and a 1995 graduate of WWTC Wood Techniques Program.  He married Janna Ritter on December 9, 1999. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother.  Darren was very dedicated to his family, community, and work.  Darren's two children, Haley (12) and Seth (10) were his existence.   Darren was the devoted Fire Chief of the Blair-Preston Fire Department.  He was also active in the Blair Sportsman's Club, Blair-Taylor Youth school activities, and a good friend to many.  Darren was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.  He was involved in the youth football and wrestling programs, loved hunting, camping, snowmobiling, farming, and watching NASCAR and Green Bay Packers.   Darren was the Construction Coordinator/Project Superintendent at RJ Jurowski Construction for the past 20 years.  Darren took pride in his work and was an important contributor to the success of the company. Darren is survived by his wife Janna (Ritter), his daughter Haley and son, Seth of Blair.  He also leaves his parents, Donald and Janet (Solberg) Jahr, his brother Brian, wife Kailee, and son Kyle, and his sister Stephanie Aleckson, husband Cody, and their children, Evan and Andrea, all of Blair.  He is also survived by his paternal Grandmother, Anna Jahr of Blair.  His father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Alice (Steidl) Ritter of Tomah.  His sister-in-laws, Karen (Adam) Voigts of Platteville, their children Aaron, Lydia and Naomi, sister-in-law Stacy of Platteville,, and sister-in-law Sarah (Brent Beveroth) of Newport Beach, California.  He is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, friends, and his firefighter family.   Darren was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Milton (Bud) Jahr, and maternal grandparents,Clifford and Irene Solberg. Darren will be missed by all. Visitation will be held Friday, March 13th from 5pm-9pm at the Blair-Taylor School and again Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 11am-1pm at the Blair-Taylor School.  The funeral will be held at 1pm at the Blair-Taylor School (N31024 Elland Rd Blair, WI). Pastor Mark Stauffacher will be officiating.
