Briggsville/Madison - Charles L. Blucher, age 74, died suddenly at his home on Thursday March 3, 2016 after a long battle with heart and lung disease. He was born on April 20, 1941, the son of John A. Blucher and Eleanor (Binius) Bender.Chuck was a bus driver for Madison Metro for many years and loved sports, stock car racing, fishing and enjoying the lake with his family and friends. He was known for his humor, charm, generosity, and love of a good party. Chuck is survived by his daughters, Debbie Schell (Chris) and Susie (Barry) Reynolds; five grandchildren, Nicole, Jamie, Andrea, Carissa and Bryce and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind three step-sons, Scott, Bob and Brian Holmes and their families and six half-brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bev, brothers John and Gary and half-siblings Danny and Geraldine.Arrangements are pending for a celebration of Chuck's life toq1q be held at a later date. Special thanks to brother Norm, nurse Becky, neighbors Paul & Kathy and Vern & Val for all they did to help fulfill Chuck's wish to stay in the home he loved. The family invites you to attend a celebration of Chuck's life and Marine service at the American Legion Post 501, 105 Dempsey Rd, Madison, where Chuck was a member.
