Buck Duane Zunker age 91 of Portage, passed away on Thursday June 18, 2026, at Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital in Portage.

Buck was born in Portage to William and Anita (Malish) Zunker. Buck grew up in a home by Silver Lake where he developed a love for the lake and swimming with his friends and dog.

Buck enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He was employed and retired as a Forman / Supervisor at Delmonte Canning Factory in Arlington after 30 years. He enjoyed studying astronomy and building model airplanes. In his younger years he enjoyed traveling to California, Florida and New York making memories with family. Buck was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan, often watching games with Renee and Mark cheering them on.

Buck is survived by Theresa Zunker, his wife of 27 years; three children, daughter Renee Turnmire (ex-son-in-law Thomas Turnmire), grandsons Justin and Ryan Turnmire; Son Mark Zunker (ex-daughter-in-law Terri Lynn), grandson Seth (Courtney) Zunker, their children, Axl and Memphis. Son Cole (Erin) Zunker, their children Porter and Sawyer. Daughter Penny Zunker of Florida.

Buck is preceded in death by his parents and Sister Joannie Holch.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in the Kratz Funeral Home in Portage, (www.kratzfuneralhome.com)Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
