Audrey Ann Hardt Mattison went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 19, 2016 at the age of 88. She was born on August 14, 1927 in Lewiston Township of Portage, Wisconsin to Walter and Irma Roecker Hardt. After graduating from Portage High School in 1945, Audrey moved to Madison to attend Madison Business College. In June 1947, she married Ralph Mattison of Madison. Audrey was employed for 48 years in several positions in Madison and Portage before retiring in 1995. Among the things Audrey enjoyed were gardening and baking her sons' favorite brownies and chocolate chip cookies. She was an avid football fan and dog lover. Audrey is survived by two loving sons, Ken Mattison, West Allis, WI and Greg (Ann) Mattison, Saline, MI; two very special grandchildren, Lisa (Ken) Roberts and Bryan (Julie) Mattison; five darling great grandchildren, Mattison and Mackenzie Roberts, Hadlee, Chase and Gradyn Mattison; a very beloved sister Marilyn Garetson, Beloit, WI; two special brothers, Dallas (Betty) Hardt, Mt Vernon, MO and Robert (Theresa) Hardt, Portage, WI and many dear nieces and nephews. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Irma Roecker Hardt, her husband, Ralph Mattison, a very dear sister of only three years Marion Hardt, brother-in-law Gary Garetson, niece Kari Hardt and nephews Jerry, Scott and Terry Hardt. Funeral services will be held at Grace Evangelical Free Church, 6403 S. County Road D, Beloit, WI 53511 on Friday, January 22 at 11:00 am, with visitation from 10-11:00 am.
