Arn Anderson walked through the gates of heaven on Saturday October 27th at 12:42pm. He passed peacefully from the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee surrounded by his loved ones. He spent one month in the spinal cord unit and five weeks in ICU. He died from complications of 40 years of paralysis. Arn was born January 1st 1949. He served our country in the Army. He had a bayonet thrust into his chest in Vietnam, lost a lung and was declared dead but that wasn't his end. He made it through and made it home. A truck accident in 1978 left him paralyzed from the neck down. Strong mentally and physically, he overcame the intitial limitations and joined a therapy group in Texas. He worked until the day he made that last trip to the VA. He loved his work and the family heritage of the logging industry. He owned a bar in Northfield, a farm in Ettrick, the Coral City Store and Anderson Log Company. He was passionate about tractors, cars, building projects, county western music, making you laugh and most of all his family and friends and especially his grandkids. He is survived by his children, Dan Anderson (special friend Brenda), Joel Anderson, Heidi (Derek) Griffey, Andy (Samantha) Anderson, Kimberly Baum. His Grandchildren, Jack and Adam Anderson, Vince Griffey, Andrea, Josh, Timothy, John, Jesse, Allison and Ashlee Baum. A brother Eric Anderson, a sister Charlene Kjos, a brother-in-law Dennis Mlsna. His ex-wife but forever friend Marilyn "Tina" Anderson. Nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandson Cole Anderson, a sister Linda Mlsna, his parents Vernon "Barney" and Sylvia Anderson. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Peace Lutheran of Pigeon Falls Church in Pigeon Falls, Wisconsin Visitation will be held from noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the church.
