Anita J. Schroeder (Lyght Bresee)         Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with heart and kidney failure. Her will to live was fierce.         Anita was born on August 13, 1932 in Platteville to Elmer and Bernice Lyght. She graduated high school from Platteville in 1950. She worked at Burgess Battery Factory for many years. She married Roger Schroeder on April 30, 1966.         Anita's biggest joy in life was her family. Her happiest moments were spent with them. In her own words, "those are the best times." She enjoyed creative projects and was an awarding winning artist in recent years. She also enjoyed puzzles and scratchers.        Anita is survived by her children Bruce (Jennifer) Bresee, Tami (Peter) Gilbertson, Tom (Janet Dunbar) Schroeder, Tim Schroeder and grandchildren, Ty and Ben Bresee.           She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brothers Doug, Wendell and Gail in addition to other much-loved family members and friends. She was also preceded in deaths by her beloved pets, Spot and Chico.           Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Kratz Funeral Home 302 E. Conant St. Portage, WI.
