Stanton age 83 of Portage, WI died on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in the Heritage House in Portage.  Alma was born on July 15, 1926 to Frank and Jean (Learmonth) Schmidt in Portage. Alma is survived by nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands; Willis H. Braun and Nowell H. Stanton Jr. and a sister Effie Mae Schmidt-Haskins Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 3, 2014 in the Picha Funeral Home in Portage. Rev.Tom Moe will be officiating.
